Federal Bureau of Prisons to Release More Inmates to Home Confinement

March 27, 2020

On March 26, 2020 Attorney General Barr Issued a directive to the Bureau of Prisons directing it to utilize Home Confinement as one of the methods to fight COVID-19 in federal prisons as well as to protect vulnerable inmates. The directive can be found HERE. Additionally, AG Barr also ordered that any inmate being released to home confinement be placed in a 14 day quarantine. As we know, that means 2 weeks in the SHU. As always, we are here at NPSC and if you have any questions please feel free to call us at 615-696-6153
